Chatham County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the originating office directly for an authoritative answer.
Jail Records and Booking
For a current custody question, start with the Chatham County Sheriff's Office. For a booking sheet or intake photograph, use the county's public-records route and identify the record precisely. Ordinary office contact is listed as 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, while Receiving and Discharge/Booking is identified as 24/7.

Records request
Use the Chatham County JustFOIA portal for an existing record request. Give the full name, DOB, DIN, arrest number, booking date, and agency when known.
CCSO does not publish a separate all-current name-searchable inmate roster in the researched public navigation. The official 24-hour and 72-hour pages are recent booking windows, not proof of present custody.
Which Office Holds What
Routing a request to the right custodian saves time and avoids asking one office to create a record it does not hold:
- For a recent booking, use the county booking feeds and records path, then CCSO Jail Records for an underlying intake record.
- For a Savannah police incident or arrest report, use Savannah open records or its JustFOIA route. CCSO holds the jail intake record.
- For a Pooler police report, use the Pooler open-records portal. CCSO holds the county booking record.
- For Port Wentworth Police material, use the city's open-records form and request the county intake record from CCSO separately.
- For a possible warrant, contact the issuing court or use the Sheriff's Criminal Street Operations numbers described on Wanted Fugitives.
- For a sentenced state-prison record, use Georgia Department of Corrections Find an Offender.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or ICE locator according to custody type.
Courts and Case Outcomes
State Court's Criminal Division handles misdemeanor and traffic matters from county jurisdictions. The State Court record-search form lists name, case number, DOB, sex, and race fields and allows requests for selected case documents. Indicted felonies continue through the Superior Court Clerk's Criminal Division. The Chatham courts hub is the starting point for the correct division, and re:SearchGA can provide online viewing where available.
Neither a news story nor a booking entry is the final outcome. Ask the court clerk about a case number, filing, disposition, copy fee, or certification when that is the record needed.
